High Pressure Cleaning

High pressure cleaning removes soot, grease, oil, gum and other deposits from concrete or masonry structures, building curtain walls, parking lots & walkways. These areas are susceptible to pollutants just like windows. Over time, untreated buildings and structures look dingy and neglected. Slick grease and oil deposits in driveways and parking lots are not only unsightly, but potentially dangerous. The most effective, economical way to restore and clean these areas is with high pressure cleaning.

It takes trained skills and experience to achieve professional high pressure cleaning results. Water is internally heated, then discharged through a compressor under constant pressure. The technician must select the proper temperature then apply the water pressure evenly to obtain a uniformly clean appearance. Water reclamation has also become a city code requirement in many areas. HSG, Inc. utilizes a compliant state-of-the-art water reclamation and recycling system.

Restoration utilizing high pressure cleaning can have a great impact in improving a building’s “curb appeal,” especially when the building curtain wall and other structures have not been consistently maintained. Most people do not realize how dirty their buildings are, until our professionally trained technicians perform a cleaning test. North-facing areas of a building can also be affected by black mold build-up due to the reduced sun exposure. Test results are usually so dramatic that when the test area is reviewed by the building owner/manager, the entire building is contracted to be cleaned. After initial restoration, building curtain walls need to be periodically maintained. HSG, Inc. excels at performing not only ground level high pressure cleaning, we also specialize in cleaning high-rise buildings. Some examples of buildings we have cleaned include the Ronald Reagan
Building in Downtown Los Angeles, the former ABC Entertainment Center in Century City and the former Radisson Hotel in Manhattan Beach.

Just as with buildings and other structures, surrounding walkways of concrete, brick or other types of masonry can accumulate dirt and mineral deposits (
effloresce), leaving them looking worn and aged. HSG, Inc. can rejuvenate these walkways bringing a fresh “new” look. First, the areas are treated with special cleaners and restorers, then high pressure cleaned. After the areas are dry, a long lasting sealer is applied that leaves the surface like new.
