Safety & Affiliations

Safety is at the heart of every service we provide for our clients.

We recognize the importance of complete safety training to emphasize the prevention of accidents. Our company conducts quarterly safety meetings/training sessions to emphasize to our (new & experienced) workers that SAFETY is our number one priority. We also have a program of biweekly paycheck stuffers, employee memos and monthly equipment safety checks. Additionally, many of our employees have been trained in basic first aid and are certified in CPR.

Safety and Regulatory Involvement
ASME A-120 Committee (2012 – Present)
Member of the A120 Safety Requirements for Powered Platforms for Building Maintenance: This sub-committee reviews and revises powered platform and roof equipment safety requirements and guidelines on a national level.

CAL-OSHA (1990 – 1996)
Member of the California OSHA Advisory Committee: This committee worked toward revising all of California’s laws pertaining to the permanent installations of swing stages and their uses, practice, and proper procedures to provide a safer environment for employees. We have published articles in BOMA and IREM newsletters updating the membership on the new laws that went into effect in 1998.

Member of the Cal-OSHA CDA Advisory Sub-Committee: This sub-committee worked toward writing guidelines and receiving subsequent approval of CDA (controlled descent apparatus) devices by the California Safety Standards Board.

Member of the Cal-OSHA Volatile Fuel Advisory Sub-Committee: This sub-committee worked toward writing guidelines outlawing the use of any type of gasoline engines on swing stages.

Member of the Cal-OSHA Anchor Load Testing Advisory Sub-Committee: This sub-committee worked toward writing guidelines on the frequency and type of testing required on anchors.

Expert Witness: Mr. Garcia has been retained by the State of California and by other attorneys, on behalf of building ownership, as an expert witness in the field of window cleaning practices and procedures, including topics of equipment safety training and procedures, and accident prevention. He has also worked with construction companies, Professional Engineers (PE), and architects as a consultant in the designing of window cleaning equipment.
